We are looking for a motivated “Senior QA Engineer” who wants to take on challenging tasks while growing both professionally and personally. 

About the Role: 

primasystems is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to establish and improve software quality practices across the development lifecycle. The role focuses on test strategy, automation, quality engineering, API and database validation, release quality gates, and investigation of complex defects and production issues.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyze requirements and identify quality risks early in the development lifecycle.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, reusable utilities, fixtures, and reporting.
• Increase meaningful automation coverage and reduce flaky or unreliable tests.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and establish appropriate automated quality gates.
• Perform API testing and database validation using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Validate application reliability, performance, and usability from a quality perspective.
• Participate in code reviews and development planning where appropriate to identify quality risks.
• Establish and promote QA standards, testing practices, and maintainable test-suite architecture.
• Evaluate and introduce appropriate testing tools and technologies.
• Identify common application security risks during testing and perform appropriate security validation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on remediation of defects and security-related issues.
• Analyze test results, quality metrics, and production defects.
• Lead investigation of complex or recurring production quality issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Maintain QA documentation, test reports, and automation standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes across engineering teams.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, or equivalent tools.
• Strong knowledge of API, UI, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong SQL/database testing experience.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management systems.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality engineering practices.
• Experience with test architecture, automation patterns, and maintainable test suites.
• Understanding application security testing and OWASP fundamentals.
• Experience analyzing test results, quality metrics, and production defects.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.s.

Nice to Have: 

• Performance testing experience.
• Experience with mobile application testing.
• Knowledge of automation framework architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms and tooling.
